Hello, I'm Codi! I am a freelance children's book illustrator based in Washington DC.

 

The purpose of the Be Happy, Draw Art brand is to create endearing illustrations and stories that inspire positivity, peace, and childhood nostalgia.

 

I begin my sketches on paper and use Photoshop, Illustrator, Affinity Designer 2, or Procreate to make my digital artwork.

 

Inspiration for my illustrations come from silly childhood experiences, comedic early 2000's cartoons, and various children's books that capture the escapist fantasy theme I love.

 

When I'm not making art, I am working on my children's fantasy novel series, playing video games, and taking care of my cat.
